Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate our Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.
The college provides a rich sacramental life for the community. We celebrate the Eucharist together every Wednesday through our Chapel Mass Program and each term, a year group celebrates mass at St Vincent’s Catholic Church Ashfield along with the other schools in the Ashfield precinct. In the Lasallian spirit, we provide a formation experience for all students through annual reflection days for all students in Years 7–10. These are presented by the Lasallian youth ministry team and our own Year 11 Lasallian youth leaders. Formation is deepened with retreat experiences in Years 11 and Year 12.
Staff and students represent the college at the annual Launch of the Catholic Archbishops Social Justice Statement, Archbishops Leaders Forum, Executive Directors Leaders Forum and Sydney Catholic Schools Evangelisation Days for Years 7 to 10. In addition, students volunteer to attend the Australian Catholic Youth Festival and World Youth Day.
The college community is committed to experiences of daily communal prayer evident at assemblies, in year group meetings, staff meetings and before the start of each lesson. These experiences of faith enable our young men to reflect on their journey with Christ so that they develop their sense of love, compassion, mercy and justice for all those they meet.
